Whoever wrote this, thank you so much! All the wonderful wordplay and the fantastic atmosphere of the ship, and the rhythms of the sentences - just amazing.
The brooch was an amazing touch - I loved the blend of the just-knighted Hal and Henry V at last, just as Richard is finally in the place he should be.
I love seeing traces of the young Hal in the 'King who is to come', (and vice versa, but that's a bit different!).
So many wonderful passages, but this was my favourite:
"Ah...." Richard squinted off for a moment, then said, "Ah! Odi....et amo," as if he were a palace tutor. "'I hate, and I love....' He hates what he loves. He hates that he loves it." He looked up at Hal, eyes serious, clear.
