geeking out on shakespeare's histories

lareinenoire and I talked this over and we decided that Edward II counts, largely because of the overlap with Edward III and because it is just about the only non-Shakespeare history play that most people know. So yeah, it's in on the grounds of popularity + close enough.

We decided on the June date for reasons basically unrelated to the BBC histories -- both because lareinenoire is doing a lot of traveling this summer, and because a signup deadline much later than that pushes the posting date into September, and we didn't want that because this fandom is full of academics. Plus nobody seems to know when The Hollow Crown is actually airing, and fandom at large seems to be primarily interested in the plays with Prince Hal, which don't air until who knows when (I don't know if the plan is to show them in close proximity or not).
