(Honestly I was for one cracky moment contemplating a scene where York and his dad are watching the goings on after he's passed, and his dad goes, "Well, THAT went well" and York is all "SHUT UP, DAD", but it really didn't fir the mood of the piece, as it were)

True, it wouldn't have fit this piece, but I now want someone to write a hilarious crackfic that consists entirely of commentary by dead people on the living ones. ;) Because in the histories, you could totally do that.

And, no, people named Richard really had it bad. There's even a chronicler who remarks upon it -- and who's surprised that Richard fell out of fashion as a royal name afterward?
