The structure of this is brilliant - I love the way you start with York, who also forms a bridge between Cambridge and Glouchester. York's love for but failure of his sons went a great way to illuminate both his father and his son, and yet the other sections didn't overwhelm the first - somehow, my attention remained most held by York, so that, when it ended with him, it felt right. Lovely.
