How do you even define attractive in a world where beautiful glossy dark bobs (I know he probably didn't really look like that, but who cares - Jon Finch FTW) are pitted against glorious golden-haired EXCEPTIONAL HAWTNESS.

Actually if this is your kingdom, I don't want to be John of Gaunt, because you'll just seize all my lands (plus, I die - plus, it is too weird to be rhapsodising on the gorgeousness of my son & nephew). I'll just be one of the minions, minions are awesome.

You don't want to be John of Gaunt anyway, even if he is John Gielgud at least some of the time, because he's a jerk, although I guess this is debatable in Shakespeareland. In history and certainly in my Personal Fanon he is an enormous asshole though.

Also, in the Imaginary Film of All My Plantagenet-Based Fictional Endeavors, Henry is played by Matthew Macfadyen. So that's also awesome.
