This is fantastic! I love the Richard POV, I love this take on That Throne-Sitting Thing and Richard's general sense of Leave-Me-The-Hell-Alone. And how that's really about the fear of intimacy because he's lost Anne and because he knows he can never really have it with basically anybody else. And the fact that Edward is actually kind of scary here.
