"Love Needs No Apology," a song Percy wrote for a forthcoming anthology that SVD Records is putting together to support same-sex marriage equality. The quiet and uncharacteristically straightforward ballad tells the story of the gay and lesbian couples living in a small town over several generations. Esperance has worked a fully-orchestrated version into their live repertoire, and the band's website indicates that it is their most downloaded song.

I want VERY badly to download this song right now.

And I just listened to "Adam Raised a Cain". WOW. That is PERFECT for Hal.

And Hal as Hallie Monmouth, Senator Bolingbroke's gay daughter. That is not something I ever would have thought of, but it's weirdly perfect.

The best part is the tone, though. This really does sound like it was written by a reporter. I can picture reading this in a newspaper or magazine.

Brilliant job!
