The moment before sense of this was heartbreaking, and it makes me almost want to cry, the way Richard does not equivocate about killing Anne, but yet there still is a sort of hesitation, a musing, a reflection that he would never admit to but which is there. I love He had hidden his smile in a clump of her cloak and Richard's removal of her red clothing before his killing of her, which has this ritualistic aspect to it that I really enjoy.
